CliffHanger Academy Life Lesson In the Wild: Be Comfortable in Your Own Skin

Be Comfortable in Your Own Skin

It took some courage to post this pic. Here’s why…

Being comfortable in your own skin isn’t something that comes easily to most of us. Having true confidence, the kind they resonates through every fiber inside you takes time and practice.

After circumventing the globe twice, I came back to the US as a different man. It took me years to adjust to the person I became and it’s been a rough ride, that included depression, suicidal ideation, and complete burnout.

It wasn’t easy and honestly one of the toughest things I’ve ever done, but it’s been worth it.

It’s still an everyday battle. Some days I win, some I lose, but I keep getting up, even if I don’t want to.

My advice to anyone trying to get comfortable in their own skin is to keep trying new things, keep pushing your comfort zone 1% every day and don’t get discouraged. If you improve 1% a day, after 72 days you’re 100% better than when you started. Keep taking action!

If I can do it, and keep failing, you can do it!

This pic represents the least fit and least tan I’ve been in a long time, so I really didn’t want to post it, but I kept coming across too many other friends, clients and loved ones, including myself, that weren’t being comfortable in their own skin, so I felt compelled to post it because I pray it helps at least one other person say to themselves they ARE good enough and they do love themselves.

Big thanks to Eletrunks Nation for helping me be comfortable in my own skin while hiking the Grand Canyon with 9000ft elevation change and 115 degree heat.
